This short film introduces opticians to the benefits of owning their own lab and uses the stories of two people who have done it.
Regular client Essilor wanted to find a way to encourage it’s clients to take up their offer of, pretty much, free lab equipment for high volume users of their lenses. They approached us to make a video story that could be sent out to their client mailing list.
We filmed in 3 locations, at their head office and then with 2 opticians who had taken up the offer and were really happy with it. (I mean- who wouldn’t be? Something for nothing- ‘I have to pinch myself’ as one of the guys in the film says!)
Time was tight at the sites as working opticians need to keep the appointments coming in. We are great at assessing a location and rigging quickly and efficiently. Stuart doubled up as interviewer to elicit great answers from the subjects.
As always, we shot in what is known as ‘Log’ mode, which is an initially very flat and colourless way of setting the camera. This means that when ‘colour-graded’ in the edit, a variety of looks can be obtained and the maximum dynamic range of the camera can be utilised.
We were rather chuffed when Marketing Director Jonathan Cohen said this about us.
“Always a pleasure to work with Stuart. From the brief, to the edit, through the realisation, Stuart and his team are always spot on. They understand our need very quickly , add value by suggesting tweak which make the final product better, understand our brand identity and culture and also always work very efficiently.
Delighted overall “
